POULTRY
- 80 experimental pens
- Precise monitoring of zootechnical and health performance
Today, Zootests offers a wide range of experimental setups covering most poultry productions (breeders, pullets, layers, broilers, ducks, turkeys).
The Zootests trial facilities are comprehensive and innovative: they provide the same statistical power as station-based experiments, while maintaining the temperature, humidity, ammonia level, lighting, and health conditions typical of standard production buildings.
All protocols presented are indicative and can be adapted to clients’ specific needs.
SWINE
Fattening protocol:
- Automatic concentrate distributor (DAC)
- 8 automatic feeders (possibility to test 4 different feeds)
- Experimental unit with 144 pigs
Post-weaning protocol:
Post-weaning trials with weaning at 21 or 28 days can be carried out (supplementation via feed or drinking water).
Zootests offers a range of experimental setups for swine production.
These facilities are comprehensive and realistic, providing the same statistical power as experimental stations and the same environmental and health conditions as standard production farms.
All protocols presented are indicative and can be customized according to client requirements.
SMALL RUMINANTS
(goats, sheeps)
Goat Protocol:
- 2 to 3 treatments tested
- 40 to 60 goats per treatment
- Possibility of trials on organic farms
- Data collected: milk production (quantity and quality), body condition score, weight
Kid Protocol:
- 2 treatments
- 40 to 60 female kids per treatment
- Organic farm
- Data collected: weight gain at different ages
LABORATORY
Quality measurements
Zootests performs quality control analyses on eggs, meat, bones, and litter dry matter in its laboratory.
These analyses provide valuable insight into the physical and nutritional characteristics of animal products.
